Confidence

Earlier this year, I attended a Literacy Carnival with Weseley for school. They had all sorts of fun gift baskets to be raffled off. While I let Weseley choose most of the ones we put tickets into, I chose one that was for me. 

AND I WON IT!!

It was a cute little bag with some fun flip flops, a cute sign that says "you are my sunshine", some spray-on tan, and a gift certificate to receive a a free spray on tan. I used to tan really nicely, before the kids. After my pregnancies, I tend to burn faster than tanning. 

Today, I went to get my spray tan. This lady works out of her home. She lives in a cute little older house in Eaton, right across from Weseley's school. Not to be too graphic, but there is nothing quite like meeting someone for the first time and then standing almost naked in their tub. WOW!

We had a great conversation about her 2 adorable kids and their journey in adopting them from China and I learned about a food-coop in Eaton that I am excited to take part in. 

But the whole time I was standing in her tub, I couldn't help but sing this song in my head. My boys and I love to sing it and dance around. I think confidence is sexy. I can admit that I see people wear stuff that I don't think they should, but in a culture that still spends a lot of time glorifying super thin bodies, I love seeing people who are confident with who they are.
