Singing in the Rain

Ah, the rain. I like rain. Especially spring and summer rain. As a little girl in the country, I would throw on my bathing suit and run outside to sing and dance in the rain and splash in the mud puddles!

Now when it rains, I don't usually have that urge as often, but I do like to curl up with a book or a movie (perhaps a musical), or play games, or DANCE! But then again, when don't I like to dance?!

When I woke up today and saw that it was going to be a cooler, rainy day, I immediately began singing this song. Upon leaving the house early to make it to a Dr. appointment and then to Bible Study, I was sad that I had forgotten my Umbrella. Not due to being wet, but to dance with :).

Of course another song began playing in my head, so today, I will have 2 videos; a classic from the 1952 musical, and a mash-up version from Glee.

I may not be out singing and dancing in the rain all day, but while I have to be out and about, I will be! And even though our picnic dinner while watching daddy play softball has been cancelled, we shall now enjoy an indoor picnic with some yummy tomato soup!!
