Father Abraham

I have always loved kids. Their imaginations, curiosity, their pure joy of life. I enjoyed helping with VBS, Children's Church, Sunday School, babysitting, etc. Spending time with these youngsters gave me an 'excuse' to tap into my own child-like nature, without being considered completely crazy, LOL.

One week ago, I had the wonderful pleasure of spending the evening with some super fun ladies and their kiddos. After feeding them dinner, we took the kids across the street to a nice open field to attempt a game of soccer. They were so fun to watch chasing the ball around and around.

It became time to enjoy an ice cream treat. In an effort to help the kids stay patient, us moms decided to lead them in songs. I am fairly certain that only a select few actually sang with us. At one point, we began singing Father Abraham, complete with actions. Again, it was primarily us mamas dancing and singing away. The neighbors got a wonderful show :).

Our dance didn't look nearly as cool as this video, but we still rocked it!! This is dedicated to you fabulous ladies! Thanks for a fun night!!

With Summer Vacation around the corner, I am looking forward to making some fun VBS memories with my kids and this song will definitely be a part of that!
