I went to this small school in Greeley, Union Colony Preparatory School. I really enjoyed my 4 years there. Being a very studious young gal, this school pushed me and challenged me daily. Their goal was to have us prepared and ready for college, so it wasn't a shock.
Our Senior year was devoted to writing a Thesis. A 25(minimum) page report on a topic of our choice. We spent the entire year researching and putting this together. In addition to writing the thesis, we had to give a presentation in front of a few of the teachers, and any peers, family or friends that wanted to watch.
One of my classmates, Sangam (you will hear a bit more about him tomorrow), and I were scheduled to present our thesis' on the same day. This pretty much marked the end of our Senior year. All that was left was graduation. I don't remember where we even went after our presentations were over, but we got in his car and he had this song qued up.
I didn't know (and still really don't) all the lyrics or the meaning behind the song, but that wasn't what mattered that day. We rolled down the windows, blasted the song, and sang at the top of our lungs ...
"I'M FREEEEE!!!!"
